Allie Coeby (She/They) is a multifaceted queer artist who explores their creativity through analysis, inquiry, and liveliness. Based out of South Jersey, they strive to remain forever curious and enlighten audience members through excitable playfulness. Allie’s art does not exist only within the boundary of acting, as she has put on multiple hats throughout their journey in theatre and academia- that is, of course, depending on what the day may call for. Meet Allie!

Allie grew up a rambunctious child

just 30 minutes outside of Philly. Although she was considered a good student by her teachers, Allie found that they were even better at being a distraction in class.

They found their love for theatre

while playing “dress-up” a little too seriously in daycare. From there on out, Allie knew that they wanted to be on the stage- with or without the costume dresses.

She then enrolled at Rowan University to study Pre-Law .

Or… not exactly…

Allie missed theatre so much that after just a year and a half of undergrad, she auditioned and was accepted into Rowan’s theatre program.

She graduated from Rowan University with a double B.A. to her name.

Allie is also a proud teaching artist!

They have been teaching in the arts since they were 17. Whether it be through teaching concepts or directing students in scenes- Allie hopes to never stop sharing the joy of theatre to future artists.

When Allie is not on the stage,

she can be found reading books or writing songs. She is currently on a self-described “classics binge” with her favorite book of all time being The Great Gatsby. Allie also enjoys being a visual artist and enjoys using multiple mediums for their pieces.
